With the exception of logistic support services and public sanitation firms, these vehicles won't be allowed on certain highways.

For a period of three days, certain vehicles will not be allowed to enter Abu Dhabi.

Certain routes will be off-limits to these vehicles, with the exception of those that are used by public sanitation firms and logistic support services.

An announcement was made by the Integrated Transport Centre regarding a temporary prohibition on the entry of certain automobiles into Abu Dhabi.

There will be restrictions placed on the ability of heavy vehicles, such as trucks and buses, that are used for carrying workers to Abu Dhabi to enter the Emirates Island. It is anticipated that this temporary prohibition will go into force beginning on Friday, December 1, 2023, and continuing until Monday, December 4, 2023. Entrances, such as Sheikh Zayed Bridge, Sheikh Khalifa Bridge, Mussafah Bridge, and Al Maqta Bridge, will be closed to certain heavy vehicles beginning at twelve o'clock on December 1 and continuing until one o'clock on December 4. However, vehicles that are used by public sanitation companies and logistic support services will be exempt from this temporary truck ban, according to the authority. Users of the roads were reminded by the ITC to drive with caution and to comply with all traffic rules and regulations.

During the time when the UAE Union Day festivities are being celebrated, the temporary restrictions will be in effect.

From the second to the fourth of December, workers in both the public and private sectors are scheduled to take advantage of a longer weekend. Work will resume on the fifth of December, which is a Tuesday. Furthermore, on Friday, December 1, personnel in the public sector will be able to work from the comfort of their own homes.
