The UAE announces 13 days of paid public holidays for workers in the public and private sectors

The UAE Cabinet, headed by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, announced a list of paid public holidays for the government and private sectors.

The decision of the Council of Ministers, headed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him,” comes within the framework of regulating the workflow in the governmental and private sectors in the countries, as this decision guarantees all individuals working in the Emirates in various sectors and families Residents and citizens have the ability to plan vacations in advance and organize their own activities and vacation programs, which supports and enhances the national economy in its various sectors.

The UAE Cabinet, headed by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, approved a list of paid public holidays for both the government and the private sector, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, President of the State.

Within the framework of regulating the workflow in the government and private sectors in the UAE, a decision was issued by the Council of Ministers, headed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him.” This decision entered into force.

This decision includes all individuals working in the Emirates in various sectors (public and private) and families, both citizens and residents, allowing flexibility in planning their vacations in advance and organizing their activities and vacation programs, which helps support and strengthen the country’s economy in its various fields.

The official holiday agenda for the government and private sectors in the UAE included the New Year holiday, which took place at the beginning of this month on January 1, 2024. The list of holidays approved by the UAE Cabinet also included Eid al-Fitr. Vacation from 29 Ramadan to 3 Shawwal 1445 AH, the Arafat pause on 9 Dhu al-Hijjah 1445 AH, Eid al-Adha holiday from 10 to 12 Dhu al-Hijjah 1445 AH, and Hijri New Year holiday on 1 Muharram 1446 AH. AH, and the holiday of the Prophet’s Birthday on 12 Rabi’ al-Awwal 1446 AH, in addition to the National Day holiday of the United Arab Emirates from December 2 to 3, 2024.
