Emirates will be the first Middle Eastern airline that operates in Mumbai to provide the experience of understated luxury when the new cabin class launches on its A380 flights later this month.
The aircraft, which has Premium Economy seats and is operating as EK506, landed at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (MIAL) to provide a sample of the soon-to-launch service to MIAL airport authorities, VIPs, travel brokers, major corporate clients, and journalists.
Guests were given a tour of the Premium Economy cabins that will make their first appearance on Emirates' A380 service to Mumbai and Bangalore beginning on October 29 and on outgoing flights from the two cities to Dubai beginning on October 30.
"Emirates Premium Economy has revolutionized travel for a growing segment of travelers looking to enhance their flying experience," stated Mohammad Sarhan, Emirates' Vice President for India and Nepal.
"We've received an enormous response from customers, who have opted to trade up to Premium Economy and embraced the new levels of comfort and luxury it provides at a great value. These customers have shown their appreciation by giving us positive feedback."
In accordance with the demand that we have observed on the 10 routes where the product is presently accessible, we think that it will also have a significant amount of success in India.
"As demand for travel across our network continues to rise, Premium Economy gives customers the opportunity to savor the ideal combination of opulence and accessibility at an affordable price.
"This exemplifies our unwavering dedication to serving our clients and living up to the 'Fly Better' promise we made. We want to install Premium Economy cabins on an increasing number of planes, and as a result, we are interested in expanding the number of flights that provide this choice.
A spokesperson for the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) stated, "We are delighted to welcome Emirates as they reconfigure and upgrade their service offering from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA)."
"As Emirates expands its broad variety of services and extended connections, CSMIA is prepared to fulfill the modern-day mobility requirements with the deployment of newer technology and digitalization, adding to a smooth experience for passengers in the process.
"With the world-class offerings that Mumbai Airport has to offer, combined with Emirates' commitment to premium comfort and excellence on board, we are excited to provide passengers with the best experience possible from CSMIA,"
In the Premium Economy cabins of the Emirates A380, there are a total of 56 seats upholstered in luxurious cream leather. These seats are arranged in a 2-4-2 layout and are situated at the front of the main deck. In addition to other considerate and luxury elements, the new cabin class has seats that offer a significant amount of recline, an increased amount of legroom, and an upgraded eating experience.
Premium Economy customers can choose from a wide variety of regional menus, each of which features a unique assortment of regional flavors and a comprehensive range of drink options. These menus are available to passengers who are interested in a premium dining experience.
The in-flight entertainment system, which already had more than 6,500 channels, has just received considerable upgrades. It now features a bigger screen and a comprehensive variety of movies, television episodes, and albums in India's regional languages, such as Hindi, Marathi, and Kannada.
In the annals of aviation's long and illustrious past, Emirates's fleet upgrade project stands out as one of the most ambitious and extensive ever done.
The engineering department at Emirates began work on an innovative initiative to modernize a fleet of aircraft that included 67 Airbus A380s and 53 Boeing 777s.
In addition to giving the aircraft a more modern appearance, the project will involve the addition of almost 4,000 Premium Economy seats across a total of 120 planes.
If you are traveling with Emirates and need to reserve Premium Economy tickets, you may do so on flights EK500/501 if you are going between Dubai and Mumbai, and on EK568/569 if you are going between Dubai and Bengaluru.
